Waxing while pregnant is considered safe for both mother and baby however you should always let your therapist at your waxing salon know that you are pregnant as your skin may become more sensitive than usual.  During pregnancy the hormonal changes in the body can impact the rate and type of hair growth and the increased blood flow, particularly in the pubic area can make the skin feel more sensitive and susceptible to pain.

Your therapist will ensure to use the most suitable wax for the areas to be treated to minimise discomfort. If you are in the third trimester of your pregnancy, please let the salon know when making an appointment so that your treatment time can be extended.

Brazilian Waxing or a 'braz wax' as it can commonly be referred to involves the removal of the hair from the front of the pubic bone, around the external genitals and around the anus however this can be tailored to your preference and you can choose to remove all hair in these areas or leave certain areas.

Years of experience in Brazilian waxing, along with the premium wax and technique that we use allow for a quick Brazilian wax with minimised discomfort. Our friendly and professional hair removal technicians will explain the process and how to look after the area post treatment and are fast and efficient.

Brazilian waxes are performed with a combination of hot and strip wax in addition to a cold compress to reduce discomfort. For sensitive skin types, we also offer a hot wax only Brazilian.  Complete Skin and Beauty salons follow the latest safety stands, use only disposable tools and always wear gloves when performing a Brazilian Wax offering silky smooth customisable results, whatever your style.

Do not shave for 2-3 weeks prior to your waxing appointment.  The hair will need to be approximately half a centimeter in length for best possible removal.   

For both female and male waxing, do not use strong chemical exfoliants on the area to be waxed, especially for facial waxing, for at least two days prior.

Gently exfoliate the area for a couple of days leading up to your waxing appointment, as this will release any underlying hairs, and allow them to be removed.

Avoid sun exposure on the area to be waxed prior to your appointment.  Sun burned skin cannot be waxed.

Do not exfoliate for 2-3 days post your wax.

We recommend after visiting our waxing clinic, to avoid any heat-based treatments and/or activities that may cause sweating or encourage irritation or bacterial growth in treatment area (eg. exercise, saunas, hot showers, swimming) for at least 24 hours.

For delicate waxed areas, wear natural fibres or no underwear at night to allow the area to breathe.

Practice sun avoidance for 24hrs post treatment as the treated area may be more susceptible to burning.

Practise regular exfoliation every alternate day 72hrs post treatment to prevent ingrown hairs.

It will depend on the area of the body, as all hair grows at different rates.   As a general guide, booking your professional waxing every 4 weeks will give you the best result, however, always take the advice from your beauty therapist if they recommend different timing for your treatments specifically.

As a general rule, it is best if the hair is at least half a centimeter long, this usually is approx 2 weeks growth after shaving for most body parts.  As hair in different areas grows at different rates, it is best to go by your therapist recommendation for when to rebook your waxing services.

At our waxing clinic, we advise that certain medications, especially prescription medications, can weaken the skin barrier. Please ensure you make your therapist aware of any medications you may be taking so that they can ascertain your suitability for treatment and prevent any unnecessary injury.
