Skin Needling

Skin needling is for anyone wanting to optimise skin regeneration and improve the appearance of acne scarring, stretch marks, fine lines, pigmentation or enlarged pores. 

This treatment is performed in a sterile environment on cleansed skin with the use of a dermal pen device that uses mechanised needles to puncture the skin at a prescribed depth of penetration for the area treated. Treatment passes are methodically applied section by section of the area treated and while some clients may feel some discomfort more notable in certain sensitive areas, the treatment is relatively quick. The microscopic punctures made are clean and direct as the device is not rolled across the skin like a dermal roller.

Following your skin needling treatment your skin may appear flushed with slight redness and possible mild swelling. The majority of redness and swelling should subside within 24 hours while the entire healing process takes up to 5 days.

Any skin needling treatment of your choosing can be packaged into a series of 6 treatments, your last treatment being free!

Pause on using any chemical exfoliants, retinols, alcohol based products or active cosmeceuticals on your skin 3 days prior to your treatment.

Avoid excessive sun exposure prior to your treatment.

Time your waxing appointments separately and avoid waxing 2 days prior to skin needling on the treatment area.

Limit sun exposure and ensure you are wearing a SPF 30+ at minimum post treatment.

Avoid exercise and excessive heat such as saunas and hot showers for 24 hrs post treatment

Pause on using active ingredients in your skin care regime for the first 3 days post treatment when your skin may feel a little more sensitive than usual. Your therapist will clarify the correct products to use post treatment to ensure skin is not irritated.
