A range of Vani-T aftercare products are available in salon to prolong the wear of your tan, and help with effortless removal.

Do not perform any hair removal on the body at least 24 hours prior to your tanning salon appointment.

Moisturise your skin regularly in the week leading up to your spray tan salon appointment as spray tan will cling to dry patches of skin creating an uneven tan.

Arrive to your appointment with clean skin - no makeup, deodorant, perfume or moisturiser on the skin as these products may interact negatively with the spray tan solution and create discolouration.

Wear loose dark clothing to your appointment and open shoes to prevent your tan moving and becoming uneven.  During your spray tan you have the option to wear a g-string or go nude, it's completely up to you.

You must keep your skin totally dry until the development time has passed and your spray tan solution is ready to rinse off. Your Complete Skin & Beauty Therapist will advise you on when to rinse off at your appointment.

Keep your skin moisturised to make your tan last as long as possible.

Our spray tan's have matching gradual tanning solutions that are able to be purchased in clinic to extend the life of your spray tan if you need it to last an extended period of time.

Be aware that swimming in pools/spa's, saunas and excessively sweating will make your spray tan wear off the skin quicker.

When your tan begins to fade, you can begin performing a light exfoliation daily to slowly remove excess tan evenly. Spray tans will last 7-10 days on average. 

If you have sensitive skin conditions, in particular dermatitis or eczema, it’s worth getting a patch test done first. This ensures that if you do experience a flare up, it’s on a concentrated part of your body and not everywhere.

As your body sheds skin cells at different rates, failing to exfoliate prior to tanning can mean that the spray tan attaches to some parts of your skin better, resulting in a patchy looking tan. 

Yes, it’s important to apply sunscreen as our spray tan does not contain SPF and therefore cannot protect you from the sun.
